05/10/2025 – Announcing Dr. Sandra as our new Head Tutor!

As most of you are aware, our Dr. Fred will be retiring in the end of November (see below for full details!). In order to continue teaching and guiding ORE Candidates in the future, we are happy to announce that our very own Dr. Sandra will be taking over for Dr. Fred as our Head tutor! Courses starting from December will be run by Dr. Sandra with other tutors joining her to assist. If you have already booked a class with Dr. Fred, do not worry, he will still be running the courses he has already confirmed (please see our courses page for dates). Some of you already have attended courses with Dr. Sandra already, but for those who haven’t, please read her bio below:

Dr. Sandra Bedford BDS, ORE, MSc (Hons)
Restorative Dental Practice | ORE Part 2 Trainer

Dr. Sandra Bedford brings over 30 years of experience in Restorative Dental Practice, both in the UK and Lebanon. She successfully ran her own private dental clinic in Beirut for 13 years before relocating to the UK, where she initially worked within the NHS before transitioning exclusively to private practice. In 2015, Dr. Bedford achieved a master’s degree with Honours in Restorative Dental Practice from the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute, University College London (UCL), where she was commended for her exceptional hand skills.
Alongside her clinical work, Dr. Sandra has extensive experience in preparing candidates for the Overseas Registration Exam (ORE). She began working with MR Dental in 2009, conducting ORE2 Manikin courses with Dr. Fred. She later expanded her training portfolio by delivering OSCEs, Medical Emergencies, and Treatment Planning courses for ORE Part 2 alongside prof. St John Crean and Dr Cary Bopiah.
In 2023, Dr. Sandra returned to MR Dental, where she currently leads ORE Part 2 Manikin training courses. Her candidates have achieved high pass rate in the ORE 2 Manikin exams. Dr. Sandra tirelessly gives ongoing support via MR Dental’s WhatsApp feedback group. Dr. Sandra consistently receives praise from ORE 2 candidates for her guidance, empathetic teaching style and her rigorous approach to exam preparations.

We hope that candidates both new and current will join us in welcoming Dr. Sandra as our new Head Tutor!

Announcing Dr. Fred’s Retirement

We are sad to announce that Dr. Fred is retiring from Teaching the ORE Part 2. For 20 Years now, Dr. Fred has been involved with MR. Dental teaching ORE Part 2, helping guide future generations of Overseas Dentists. Many of which have gone on to have very successful careers in Dentistry. Whether it was going on to run their own Surgeries, or becoming ORE Tutors themselves, Dr. Fred has been instrumental in countless dentist’s journeys. We are proud to have worked with Dr. Fred for all these years helping grow and nurture ORE candidates into becoming fine dentists. From being a former examiner, to teaching the Part 2 to even running his own Surgery, Dr. Fred as truly done it all in dentistry.

All course dates on our website (Mocks, Revision, 4-Day courses) that are run by him will be going ahead as planned, but his last course before retirement will be the 4-Day course on the 27th – 30th November 2025. As he is retiring abroad, this means that he will not continue to teach elsewhere. He will be ceasing all of his Dentistry roles at the end of November. He will be continuing to provide Feedback on our Facebook group from now until the last day of November. Afterwards, our new tutor team will take over providing the feedback on our groups. As for the future of MR. Dental ORE Part 2 Courses, we shall continue to run our courses with our new tutor team for the rest of the year and beyond.
